Privacy Policy — Business Card

This policy applies to Business Card — both the free edition (Business Card Trial) and the paid Business Card (they are the same app; the free edition is feature-limited, not time-limited). Other apps published by BIKINTULIS have their own policies — see the directory.

1. Who we are

BIKINTULIS is an independent developer of Garmin Connect IQ apps. For questions about this policy, use the contact form.

2. Summary in plain language

  • Business Card runs entirely on your watch. It makes no network or web requests and talks to no server — there is no BIKINTULIS server involved.
  • It requests no permissions at all — no location, no GPS, no external sensors, no internet.
  • You type your own card details (name, title, company, phone, email, website, address, note) into the app's settings in Garmin Connect. That is the only personal data the app uses, and it is used purely to draw your QR code and text card on your own watch.
  • Your card details are stored on the watch and synced only through your own Garmin Connect account, the same way any Connect IQ app's settings sync. They are never sent to BIKINTULIS and never shared with any third party.
  • It contains no advertising and no analytics.

3. Permissions this app requests

None. Both the free and paid editions ship with an empty permission set — the app does not request internet/communications, positioning, or any sensor permission. It has no way to reach the network, so it cannot send your card anywhere.

4. Your card details

Business Card exists to display your own contact details as a scan-ready QR code and as a text card. You enter those details yourself in the Business Card app settings inside Garmin Connect. Here is exactly what happens to them:

  • They are saved in Garmin's per-app settings and delivered to your watch, where the app keeps them in its private on-watch storage sandbox and builds the QR code from them on the device.
  • The sync between your phone and your watch is performed by Garmin's own Connect IQ settings mechanism, through your own Garmin account — it does not pass through any BIKINTULIS server (there isn't one).
  • The QR code is only shown on your watch screen. Whoever you choose to show it to can scan it with their phone camera — that is the whole point — but nothing is transmitted by the app itself.
  • Your details are removed from the watch when you uninstall the app; the copy in your Garmin Connect settings is governed by Garmin (see section 6) and can be cleared there.

BIKINTULIS never receives, stores or sees your card details.

5. Data sent to a server

None. Business Card has no networking code and contacts no server — nothing about you or your card ever leaves the device to BIKINTULIS or to any third party. (A future version could add an optional cloud feature; if that ever happens, this policy will be updated before it ships and the change will be described here.)

6. Garmin Connect & your Garmin account

The app runs inside Garmin's Connect IQ platform, and your card details sync through your own Garmin Connect account exactly like any Connect IQ app's settings. Garmin's own collection and use of data is governed by Garmin's policy at garmin.com/privacy. BIKINTULIS has no access to your Garmin account or its settings.

7. What this app does NOT collect or send

  • No data sent to BIKINTULIS — there is no server contact whatsoever, and no copy of your card is ever made off your watch and your own Garmin account.
  • No location or GPS data.
  • No account with BIKINTULIS, no sign-in, no tracking.
  • No advertising or analytics SDKs of any kind.

8. The bikintulis.de website

Separate from the app, when you use the bikintulis.de website itself:

  • If you leave a comment or review, your name, email, rating and comment text are stored. Your name, rating and comment are published publicly after moderation; your email is never published.
  • If you use the contact form, your name, email, subject and message are stored privately and used to reply to you. If you attach a photo or video (optional, up to 20 MB), it is stored on the BIKINTULIS server alongside the message and only viewable by the site owner via an authenticated admin panel. The attachment is deleted when the message is deleted.
  • Your IP address is stored in our database only as a salted SHA-256 hash (rate-limiting / spam prevention), never in raw form there. Raw IP addresses do appear in the standard web-server access log, as they do on any website; those logs are kept for up to 30 days and are used only for security and troubleshooting.
  • Standard web-server access logs are kept up to 30 days.
  • No third-party analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels. The site sets exactly one cookie in total, and only on the Hyrox workout-builder page if you choose to pair a watch there.

9. Legal basis (GDPR)

The card details you enter are processed only on your own devices and your own Garmin account, not by BIKINTULIS, so we are not a processor of them. The only personal data we process relates to the website: your consent (when you submit a comment or contact message) and legitimate interest (IP hashes and server logs, used solely to keep the site secure and operational).

10. Data retention

  • On the watch: your card details are kept until you delete them or uninstall the app. No server copy exists.
  • Website comments: retained while Business Card is listed on this site.
  • Contact messages: retained as long as needed to handle your enquiry, then deleted.
  • Server access logs: up to 30 days.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete data we hold (this only ever concerns website comments/contact messages — the app holds nothing on our side), withdraw consent, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. To exercise any right, use the contact form — requests are answered within 30 days.

12. Security

  • The app makes no network connections, so there is no app-to-server traffic to secure.
  • Any traffic to the bikintulis.de website is over HTTPS.
  • No payment data is ever handled by BIKINTULIS — purchases go through the Garmin Connect IQ store.

13. Children

Business Card is a general-purpose utility app, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect any data from them (indeed, it collects no personal data from anyone — the only data involved is the card you enter yourself, which stays on your own devices).

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect new features or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest change. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
