Privacy Policy — Jumper

Last updated: 16 August 2026 · Applies to Jumper v1.0.0 and later.

This policy applies to the Jumper Garmin Connect IQ game, in both listings: the free edition (Level 1) and the paid full version. They are the same game and behave identically for privacy. Other apps published by BIKINTULIS have their own policies — see the directory.

1. Who we are

BIKINTULIS is an independent developer of Garmin Connect IQ apps, games and watch faces. For questions about this policy, use the contact form.

2. Summary in plain language

  • Jumper is an offline single-player game. It has exactly one feature that sends anything off the watch — an optional global leaderboard — and that feature is off by default.
  • With the leaderboard off (the default), Jumper makes no network requests at all and nothing about you or your play leaves the watch.
  • If you choose to turn SCORE SYNC on in Settings, Jumper sends three things to our leaderboard server: your chosen name, your best overall score, and a schema version number. Nothing else — no device identifier, no location, no timestamps.
  • The game records nothing to Garmin Connect, needs no account, and contains no advertising or analytics.
  • Your game progress is saved only on the watch.

3. Permissions this game requests

Jumper requests a single permission — Communications. It is used for one purpose only: the optional global leaderboard. If you never turn the leaderboard on, the permission is never exercised and the game never contacts the network. Jumper does not request location, GPS, or any sensor permission.

4. The game itself

Playing Jumper — your levels, coins, unlocked heroes, best scores and settings — is stored in Garmin's per-app storage sandbox on the watch only. It is not backed up, does not sync to Garmin Connect, and does not follow you to another device. Jumper records no activity to Garmin Connect and reads no health or location data. Uninstalling the game removes this local data.

5. The optional global leaderboard

Jumper has one global high-score board. It is opt-in: the SCORE SYNC setting is off when you install the game, and the leaderboard sends and receives nothing until you switch it on.

When SCORE SYNC is on, and only then, Jumper sends exactly three values to our leaderboard server (at bikintulis.de, over HTTPS, via your paired phone):

  • Your name — the board name you set in the game's settings in the Garmin Connect phone app. Choose it yourself; it does not have to be your real name.
  • Your best overall score — a single number (your best, not each run).
  • A schema version number — so the server can validate the request format.

It sends nothing else: no device identifier, no location, no timestamps, and none of your other game data. In return, the watch receives a small board — the top few names and scores plus your own row — which it shows on the Scores screen. Because a leaderboard is public by nature, the name and score you submit are visible to other players on the board — so pick a name you're comfortable showing publicly.

6. Data we hold on our leaderboard server

If (and only if) you turn SCORE SYNC on, our leaderboard server stores the name and best score you submitted, so the board can be shown. This is the only case in which BIKINTULIS receives any data from a game or watch face — and it happens solely because you chose to enable the feature.

  • We keep only your submitted name and best score. We do not link it to a device, an account, or a location, because the game never sends those.
  • To remove your entry from the leaderboard, turn SCORE SYNC off (so nothing new is sent) and contact us with the board name you used — we will delete that row.
  • The endpoint is rate-limited to prevent abuse. It uses no cookies and sets none.

7. What this game does NOT collect or send

  • Nothing at all, unless you turn the leaderboard on. With it off, the game makes no network requests.
  • No device identifier, no location or GPS, no timestamps — even with the leaderboard on.
  • No name, email, phone number or account credential (the board name is one you make up in settings).
  • No data recorded to Garmin Connect, and no advertising or analytics SDKs of any kind.

8. Garmin Connect & your Garmin account

The game runs inside Garmin's Connect IQ platform, and your board-name setting reaches the watch through the Garmin Connect app's settings for the game. Garmin's own collection and use of data is governed by Garmin's policy at garmin.com/privacy. BIKINTULIS has no access to your Garmin account or anything synced to Garmin Connect.

9. The bikintulis.de website

Separate from the game, when you use the bikintulis.de website itself:

  • If you leave a comment or review, your name, email, rating and comment text are stored. Your name, rating and comment are published publicly after moderation; your email is never published.
  • If you use the contact form, your name, email, subject and message are stored privately and used to reply to you. If you attach a photo or video (optional, up to 20 MB), it is stored on the BIKINTULIS server alongside the message and only viewable by the site owner via an authenticated admin panel. The attachment is deleted when the message is deleted.
  • Your IP address is stored in our database only as a salted SHA-256 hash (rate-limiting / spam prevention), never in raw form there. Raw IP addresses do appear in the standard web-server access log, as they do on any website; those logs are kept for up to 30 days and are used only for security and troubleshooting.
  • Standard web-server access logs are kept up to 30 days.
  • No third-party analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels. The site sets exactly one cookie in total, and only on the Hyrox workout-builder page if you choose to pair a watch there.

10. Legal basis (GDPR)

The leaderboard name and score we process (only when you opt in) are handled on the basis of your consent — the deliberate act of turning SCORE SYNC on — which you can withdraw at any time by switching it off and asking us to delete your row. The website data (comments, contact messages) is handled on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

11. Data retention

  • On the watch: your progress and settings are kept until you uninstall the game. No server copy exists.
  • On the leaderboard server: your submitted name and best score are kept while the board is running, or until you ask us to delete your entry.
  • Website comments: retained while Jumper is listed on this site. Contact messages: kept as long as needed to answer, then deleted. Server access logs: up to 30 days.

12. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete the data we hold — for Jumper this means your leaderboard name and score, if you opted in — withdraw consent, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. To exercise any right, use the contact form — requests are answered within 30 days.

13. Security

  • The leaderboard is contacted only over HTTPS, and only when you enable it.
  • Any traffic to the bikintulis.de website is over HTTPS.
  • No payment data is ever handled by BIKINTULIS — purchases go through the Garmin Connect IQ store.

14. Children

Jumper is a general-purpose game, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal data from them. The optional leaderboard only ever holds a name a player types themselves and a score — please choose a board name that does not identify a child.

15. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect new features or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest change. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
