Privacy Policy - Negative Split

Last updated: 16 September 2026 · Applies to Negative Split v1.0.0 and later.

1. Summary

  • Negative Split works entirely on the Garmin watch and makes no network requests.
  • Live timer, distance and speed data are processed only to calculate and display pacing guidance.
  • No personal data, activity data, analytics or diagnostics are sent to BIKINTULIS.
  • Only the data field's preference settings are stored locally.

2. Permissions

None. Negative Split requests no Connect IQ permissions.

3. Live activity data

During a Run activity, Garmin supplies timer state, elapsed time and distance. Current speed is used when available. Negative Split processes those values on the watch to calculate distance-weighted first-half and second-half pace, interpolate the exact midpoint, show the current pace difference and select the matching pacing state.

The field does not start, pause, resume or save the activity. Those actions remain under Garmin's normal activity controls.

4. Data stored locally

Negative Split stores only its local preferences, including configured distance, target advantage, evaluation distance, alert threshold and paused-time treatment. It does not store route history, activity files, location history or a BIKINTULIS account.

5. Data sent to BIKINTULIS

None. The data field has no advertising, analytics, account or BIKINTULIS server connection. BIKINTULIS cannot see the runner's pace, distance, route, activity, settings or results.

6. Garmin Connect and the Connect IQ Store

Garmin distributes the data field, provides the live activity values and may synchronize the user's activity to Garmin Connect. Garmin's processing is governed by Garmin's privacy policy. Purchases and downloads take place through Garmin; BIKINTULIS does not receive payment-card data.

7. The bikintulis.de website

The Negative Split listing page is separate from the watch data field. Website comments, reviews and contact messages are handled under the general website privacy policy. Visiting the page does not connect the watch to BIKINTULIS.

8. Retention, rights and contact

Local preferences remain until Garmin removes the app's storage, normally after uninstall or a watch reset. BIKINTULIS holds no Negative Split watch or activity record to access, correct or delete. For website-data requests or questions, use the contact form.

9. Changes

This policy will be updated before any version with different data handling is released. The date above identifies the latest version.
