Privacy Policy - Race Pacer

1. Summary

  • Race Pacer works entirely on the Garmin watch and makes no network requests.
  • Live timer, distance and pace data are processed only to calculate and display the race plan.
  • No personal data, activity data, analytics or diagnostics are sent to BIKINTULIS.
  • Preferences and the optional Pro last-race summary stay in Garmin local app storage.

2. Permissions

Data Field Alert is used only for the configurable on-watch pace alert. Race Pacer Pro also uses FIT Contributor to write optional corrected-distance, plan-delta and projected-finish developer fields into the user's Garmin activity FIT file. The Free 5 km edition does not write those Pro-only fields.

3. Live activity data

During a Run activity, Garmin supplies timer state, elapsed time, distance, speed or pace, and lap events. Race Pacer processes those values on the watch to show target pace, smoothed current pace, ahead-or-behind delta, projected finish, pause state and explicit course-marker corrections.

Race Pacer does not silently change Garmin's recorded course distance. A marker correction happens only when the user presses LAP at an official marker.

4. Data stored locally

Both editions store their data-field settings locally. Race Pacer Pro can additionally store one optional last-race summary. Race Pacer Trial stores no expiry timer or usage counter because it is a permanent, unlimited Free 5 km edition. Trial and Pro are separate Garmin apps, so their local settings do not transfer automatically.

5. Data sent to BIKINTULIS

None. Race Pacer has no account, advertising, analytics or BIKINTULIS server connection. BIKINTULIS cannot see the runner's pace, distance, route, activities, FIT fields, settings or summaries.

6. Garmin Connect and the Connect IQ Store

Garmin distributes the data field, provides the live activity values and may synchronize the user's activity and optional Pro FIT developer fields to Garmin Connect. Garmin's processing is governed by Garmin's privacy policy. Purchases and downloads take place through Garmin; BIKINTULIS does not receive payment-card data.

7. The bikintulis.de website

The Race Pacer listing page is separate from the watch data field. Website comments, reviews and contact messages are handled under the general website privacy policy. Visiting the page does not connect the watch to BIKINTULIS.

8. Retention, rights and contact

Local settings remain until Garmin removes the app's storage, normally after uninstall or a watch reset. BIKINTULIS holds no Race Pacer watch or activity record to access, correct or delete. For website-data requests or questions, use the contact form.

9. Changes

This policy will be updated before any version with different data handling is released. The date above identifies the latest version.
