Privacy Policy - Retro Pixel

Last updated: 20 September 2026 · Applies to Retro Pixel Trial and Pro v1.0.0 and later.

1. Summary

  • Retro Pixel works entirely as a Garmin watch face.
  • Both editions declare no Connect IQ permissions and create no BIKINTULIS account.
  • Time, date, battery, heart rate, steps and Garmin weather conditions are read and drawn only on the watch.
  • No personal information, watch metrics, analytics or diagnostics are sent to BIKINTULIS.
  • Theme, display settings and Trial state remain in Garmin application storage.

2. Permissions

None. Retro Pixel Trial and Pro declare no Connect IQ permissions.

3. Watch data

Retro Pixel reads the local time and date, battery level, heart rate, steps and current Garmin weather conditions that the watch makes available. These values are used only to draw the selected watch-face theme and its metric panels.

Weather availability depends on the watch, firmware, phone connection and Garmin services. When current weather conditions are unavailable, Retro Pixel displays -- instead of inventing a value.

4. Data stored locally

Both editions retain the selected theme, time format and temperature unit in Garmin application storage. The Trial additionally stores its first successful launch time, greatest trusted time and expired state.

Trial and Pro are separate Garmin apps, so their local settings do not transfer automatically. Reinstalling or erasing local watch storage may restart the locally enforced Trial.

5. Data sent to BIKINTULIS

None. The watch face contains no advertising, analytics, account, server synchronization or BIKINTULIS network connection. BIKINTULIS cannot see the user's heart rate, steps, weather, settings or Trial state.

6. Garmin Connect and the Connect IQ Store

Garmin distributes the watch face and supplies supported watch and weather values independently of BIKINTULIS. Garmin's processing is governed by Garmin's privacy policy. Purchases and downloads take place through Garmin; BIKINTULIS does not receive payment-card data.

7. The bikintulis.de website

The Retro Pixel listing page is separate from the watch face. Website comments, reviews and contact messages are handled under the general website privacy policy. Visiting the page does not connect the watch or its data to BIKINTULIS.

8. Retention, rights and contact

Local settings and Trial state remain until Garmin removes the app's storage, normally after uninstall or a device reset. BIKINTULIS holds no Retro Pixel watch-data record to access, correct or delete. For website-data requests or questions, use the contact form.

9. Changes

This policy will be updated before any version with different data handling is released. The date above identifies the latest version.
